1-1-1: how to trust in yourself
read about how to live your truth, even when everyone else is telling you something different.
may, 2025
edition 79.
it’s a gloomy tuesday afternoon and I am rush typing the entirety of this newsletter before my 7pm deadline. in another world, I would be sitting down with a mocha from my favourite coffee shop down the road. I would have started writing this in the morning, or on a different day, or in a different mindset. in another world, I wouldn’t be struggling to keep my eyes open (it was raining earlier and my energy is low) while also trying to write something awe-inspiring. but I’m not in another world.
I’m stepping into another small section of my life: a four month period where just enough of my life will change to be unfamiliar, but not enough will change to be uncomfortable. this week, my intention will be to ground myself in my long-term goals and the habits/routines which bring me joy. this week, I’m hoping to slow down in order to speed up; to minimize my goals in order to achieve more. when life feels overwhelming (as it has often felt for me this year), I go back to my basics: eating well, drinking enough water, sleep hygiene, social connection, and a motivating goal (or a few) to make sure I check off that ‘productivity’ feeling.
if you’re not a paid subscriber, this edition is loosely about how to prioritize things that may be in opposition to what others are telling you. after all, I am a firm believer that you always already know what the right path for you is. + some examples from my personal life :)
finally, this edition is paid. if you find my writing valuable and you want to support my work, please consider becoming a paid subscriber — a monthly subscription is $6, around a price of a coffee. you’ll get access to all of my previous editions, free and paid.
you can expect one email from me every week containing:
one quote that has been inspiring me
one journal prompt
one piece of advice*
* = if you want to submit a question for my upcoming emails, you can find the form here.
