hello substack friends :’)
this newsletter was supposed to come out last tuesday. truthfully, I got so wrapped up in life that I didn’t draft anything over the weekend or on monday. then tuesday rolled around and I thought “I’ll do it after work" (famous last words). yep, I didn’t do it.
then the deadline for sending it out ‘on time’ passed and, as I kept putting it off, it became a momentous thing in my head. that’s really what happens with procrastination: things that will only take a short amount of time start to loom over your head. next thing you know, you’ve spent more time having an anxious spiral about actually starting, and you’ve spent double the amount of energy procrastinating as opposed to just. doing. the. thing.
this one feels extra bad to skip out on because it’s a paid edition of the newsletter. I love my small but mighty paid subscriber cohort and I do not take any one of these subscriptions for granted. thank you for giving me grace with this week’s edition (whether you knew you were or not). without further ado, let’s get into it <3
(for non-paid subscribers, this edition is going to be about seeking external validation and picking apart what is ‘you’ vs what is ‘society’ and other people. if you’re not a paid subscriber yet, you can unlock one paid edition for free!)
finally, this edition is paid. if you find my writing valuable and you want to support my work, please consider becoming a paid subscriber — a monthly subscription is $6, around a price of a coffee. you’ll get access to all of my previous editions, free and paid.
you can expect one email from me every week containing:
one quote that has been inspiring me
one journal prompt
one piece of advice*
* = if you want to submit a question for my upcoming emails, you can find the form here.

there are tons of guest episodes on the podcast from 2024 that are worth checking out — listen to them here <3
