edition 81.
…hi :)
this was supposed to come out last week but, truthfully, I didn’t write it. last week I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off and my nervous system all out of wack. I couldn’t hear myself think (which made for a very discombobulated therapy session) and I needed to emotionally regulate myself before I could even think about anything else.
I’m happy to report that, after a few days of working out, cutting out soda, drinking enough water, and sleeping at reasonable times, I feel more like myself again. james clear was really onto something when he said that action precedes identity!!! I did a few ‘identity-affirming actions’ and immediately felt better about myself. it’s funny how life works like that!
this edition includes a quote from a conversation I had with my dad — one I hold so close to my heart. I’m so lucky to have developed the relationship I have with my parents now, but it did not come without it’s hardships. if you’re struggling with what you want and what they want, while also navigating cultural or social barriers, this edition may be a great read for you :)
finally, this edition is paid. if you find my writing valuable and you want to support my work, please consider becoming a paid subscriber — a monthly subscription is $6, around a price of a coffee. you’ll get access to all of my previous editions, free and paid.
you can expect one email from me every week containing:
one quote that has been inspiring me
one journal prompt
one piece of advice*
* = if you want to submit a question for my upcoming emails, you can find the form here.
