My therapist told me once, “what if there are no wrong decisions, only different decisions that are right for different reasons?” That advice changed the way I make choices, and gave me the permission I needed to choose based on what I want rather than what I think is right.
I read somewhere that with every decision or choice you make there will always be the path you didn’t take and that it’s ok to mourn that too even if you’re happy with your decision.

I once had to present a 'timeline' of my life and I spent a week drawing up a game board (similar to monopoly) of what my life would look like if I made a different choice. there was a three-part crossroads where I could have chosen one of three universities and I recognized my life would have looked wildly different with every choice. I love what you said!
