I can relate to your sentiment so much! I love music but over the past months it became like an addiction to avoid being in silence, and if I get tired of Spotify I jump to YouTube and let the algorithm take over my mind. Not sure what I’m avoiding but is beautiful that I’m not just aware now, I’m taking steps to reclaim my mind and my silence. Thanks for sharing ✨

yes this!!! I'm such a slave to the algorithm sometimes and it took me a while to realise that even music was a bad habit for me!

Thank you for this. This is something I’ve been trying to acclimate myself down from as well.

absolutely enlightening! i'm one of those people who came from that phone usage post as i've been on an on-and-off social media cleanse in pursuit of fully detaching myself from it. but alas, time and time again i've failed.... socmed addiction (and through this i also realize—stimulation) is so crazy!!!!

thank you for sharing this. i realized stimulation is a factor to it too, so i'll try my best to learn and be comfortable with the silence, the mundane sounds, and with my own thoughts as they come and go. you've inspired me to take control of how i spend my time!!! have a great day
